Does Your Church Have A Website?
A few weeks ago a pastor in our association was pleased to
see a visiting couple enter the sanctuary moments before the sermon began. He
was a little surprised when the couple moved from their seats at the end of the
service in response to the invitation. He was shocked by their request to join
the church during their very first visit. Things began to make a little more
sense later when he discovered that the couple had become well acquainted with
the church via internet. For several months prior to their visit they had been
logging on and listening to sermons via the church website. Thanks to a well
designed and maintained website and a series of well preached sermons, this
couple knew on their very first visit that Barfield Baptist was the church for
them.
The two most neglected things in many Baptist Churches today are the church
organ and the church website. In today's world it is probably more
important to hire a website designer than an organ player. Yes, it grieves
me somewhat to say that, but, that is just the way it is.
Pastors, it is time to take a look at your webpage. If you are still advertising
last year's Christmas program, it is probably time to update your website.
Believe it or not, most people will check you out on the internet before their
first visit.
We also do business with promotional products companies.
The Concord Baptist Association was able to assist this missions project with a grant from the Missions Ministry Assistance Fund.
If you would like for your special Church event to be featured on the Association website please email us with the information.
