Parkway Baptist Church

Parkway Baptist Church will be presenting a drive through drama on
The Life of Christ.
The dates are April 3rd and 4th. 4-6 PM each evening

News from Southeast Baptist Church


REVIVAL
Southeast will be having Spring revival March 1-4. Services will be each day (Sunday-Wednesday) 10AM and 7PM. Kevin Minchey will be our guest speaker.



Churches on Mission

Churches of the Concord Association are ministering and sharing the gospel around the world.
 Four churches in our Association have requested missions funds for mission projects in the near future.

Belle Aire has scheduled a Spring Break trip to the city of Sosua in the Dominican Republic. March 27th - April 2nd.

Riverdale will be assisting in the construction of a Church building in Nicaragua.  March 9-20.

Third Baptist is planning to take a group of High School students to Belize. Another group from the church will be going to Mexico to assist in the building of church.

Walter Hill First Baptist
will be returning to Feds Creek Ky during the Christmas holidays to assist a local ministry in providing for the needs of the impoverished children of that area.

Does Your Church Have A Website?

A few weeks ago a pastor in our association was pleased to see a visiting couple enter the sanctuary moments before the sermon began. He was a little surprised when the couple moved from their seats at the end of the service in response to the invitation. He was shocked by their request to join the church during their very first visit. Things began to make a little more sense later when he discovered that the couple had become well acquainted with the church via internet. For several months prior to their visit they had been logging on and listening to sermons via the church website. Thanks to a well designed and maintained website and a series of well preached sermons, this couple knew on their very first visit that Barfield Baptist was the church for them.

The two most neglected things in many Baptist Churches today are the church organ and the church website.  In today's world it is probably more important to hire a website designer than an organ player.  Yes, it grieves me somewhat to say that, but, that is just the way it is.

Pastors, it is time to take a look at your webpage. If you are still advertising last year's Christmas program, it is probably time to update your website. Believe it or not, most people will check you out on the internet before their first visit.







Midland Baptist Church

Midland Baptist Church provides a wonderful ministry to the people of Rutherford Co. through their Journey of Hope Ministry. The Concord Baptist Association was able to assist this missions project with a grant from the Missions Ministry Assistance Fund.

Path Class Training
Hosted by New Vision Baptist Church
 

Are you thinking about becoming a foster parent? New Vision will be hosting PATH classes led by the Tennessee Baptist Children’s Home beginning March 10. This seven-week course is required by the state for anyone desiring to become a foster parent. The training offered by the TBCH not only meets state standards but also provides instruction from a Christian perspective. In addition to providing training, the TBCH will supervise the child placement and be your liaison with the state. VBS TRAINING

Early Bird VBS Training for Pastors and Directors will be March 16th, at the Association Office. The meeting will begin at 6:30 PM.

MMAF Post Project Report

There is an old saying that says "The job is not over until the paperwork is done."  If your Church received Missions Ministry Assistance Funds from the Association this spring,  please make sure that you submit your Post Project Report as soon as possible after the completion of your mission trip.
Failure to complete this final step may affect your Church's ability to receive future assistance.

The dates for submission have also changed. Requests must be submitted no later than April 1st or November 1st.
